British Travel Influencer Rachel Kerr Has Gone Missing In Morocco

A British travel influencer has been missing in Morocco since April 25 – four days ago.

Rachel Kerr, 31, from Dunblane, Scotland, had checked into Caribbean Village, an all-inclusive three-star hotel near the beach, in the city of Agadir.

That was on April 6, and for weeks since then, she’s been posting selfies on Instagram as well as doing daily vlogs.

Days after arriving in the city, Rachel wrote on IG: “What a life to be able to wander about and explore places on our planet, meet new people and learn new things.”

Kerr went out partying at SMART Nightclub in Hotel Agador and the left the club at around 5am on Saturday, April 25, before checking out of Caribbean Village.

This was her last known sighting, and her phone has been uncharacteristically switched off ever since, with her family and friends not having heard from her.

Her friend, Alexis Shaw, claims that Rachel had completely run out of money a day before she went missing.

Rachel was due to fly back to Scotland two weeks ago, but decided to stay longer in Agadir.

Her family and friends have now flown out to Agadir to search for her. Agadir is generally considered one of the safer and more tourist-friendly cities in Morocco, but there’s still a few weirdos out there so it’s easy to automatically assume the worst.

The best case scenario is that she’s intentionally gone off the grid for a while, but it seems unlikely that she would do this without informing her family first.

Here’s hoping she’s found soon.
