A Mum Forced Her Son To Slam His PS5 The Same Way He Had Slammed Her Pet Cat

A mum is going viral after forcing her son to repeatedly slam his PS5 into the ground as punishment for apparently doing the same thing to her cat.

The clip has sparked heated debate online – is this good parenting or not?

Now obviously no one likes to see a young child in tears as they’re forced to destroy something that’s important to them (on camera, no less), but is it ultimately an effective punishment? You can tell the poor kid was hoping the console was super durable somehow, but when the panels immediately flew off after the first slam, he knew his gaming days were over. A Gamecube might have survived but a PS5? No chance.

Perhaps his mum could have confiscated the PS5 instead and avoided disciplining her son in this manner with 4.5 million views on X and counting? Or better yet – sold the PS5 and made a few hundred bucks?

Either way, I can guarantee this lad regrets slamming his mum’s cat onto the ground and definitely will not be doing it again. Given the links between animal abuse in childhood and serial killers in adulthood – she may have even just saved some lives in the future. Then again, maybe the opposite will be true? Time will tell.
