Trump Calls For Jimmy Kimmel To Be Fired Following “Expectant Widow” Joke About Melania
President Trump has called for ABC and Disney to sack Jimmy Kimmel immediately after he cracked a joke about Melania Trump during a monologue where he pretended he was presenting the White House Correspondents Dinner.
Kimmel said: “Our First Lady Melania is here. So beautiful. Mrs Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow.”

Obviously Trump would have found this hilarious if it was said about the wife of one of his enemies, but being as he’s quite sensitive when jokes are made about him, he jumped onto Truth Social to demand that Kimmel be given his marching orders:
Melania put out her own statement (or rather – someone wrote it for her) basically echoing her husband’s sentiment:
A call to violence? Hateful and violent rhetoric? Atrocious behaviour? Jesus, it was just a joke! Whatever happened to free speech and not being such a snowflake over everything?
The argument they’re trying to make is that someone like the White House Correspondents Dinner shooter will hear Kimmel’s joke and feel encouraged to try to assassinate Trump. After all, Kimmel made these comments on Thursday and the WHCD incident happened on Saturday. By Trump’s logic – rhetoric like Kimmel’s must have been responsible.
Kimmel was already suspended not too long ago after comments he made about Charlie Kirk, so I guess Trump is hoping he’ll be able to get rid of him for good this time. I don’t see it happening, do you?
