Johnny Knoxville Gets Emotional Talking About How He Can’t Be Around Bulls Anymore
Johnny Knoxville maxed out his concussion/head injury allowance some time ago, and so is unable to do certain things that brought him so much joy in life previously; like getting absolutely obliterated by bulls.
In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the Jackass legend became emotional when discussing the fact he can’t be around bulls anymore:
Johnny Knoxville getting emotional and upset when talking about why he can’t be around bulls anymore is incredible. This guy just wants to get smoked by bulls, that’s it. pic.twitter.com/OQlrrmhZID

Knoxville choked up during the interview, saying: “I can’t mess around with bulls anymore. It’s terrible. I just want to play with them”. He noted that he finds himself getting emotional “all the time these days” following his brain injuries.
You may remember in Jackass 4 back in 2022; Knoxville got absolutely smoked by a bull and got flipped in the air and landed on his head. This resulted in a brain hemorrhage, concussion, broken wrist and broken rib, and also caused him cognitive issues and depression for months.

The guy has sustained dozens of concussions throughout his time on Jackass, so risking even just one more would be incredibly foolish at this stage of his life. So it’s no shock that he’ll have to limit his involvement in the incoming Jackass 5, at least when it comes to messing with bulls and the like.
Fair play to the guy – not once did he ever cherry pick the “easier” stunts to involve himself in. The fact he’s absolutely devastated by the knowledge that he’ll never risk his life in a bull stunt ever again says it all about him. The man was always in it for the love of the game:
Jackass 5 is out June 26 2026.
Meanwhile, Bam Margera has ripped into the entire Jackass cast while explaining that he won’t be filming any new stunts for the new movie. Fair enough really.
