Prison Officer Jailed For Affair With Convicted Murderer At Britain’s Most Secure Prison
Another day, another British female prison officer hooking up with a convicted criminal; this time at HMP Belmarsh, Britain’s most secure Category A prison.
Bethany Dent-Reynolds, a 27-year-old (former) prison and probation officer, has been sentenced to eight months in jail after carrying on a relationship with convicted murderer Kieran Robinson.
Robinson is serving a 23-year sentence for murdering 18-year-old Donnell Rhule in West Dulwich, South London.
Dent-Reynolds met Robinson while working as a prison officer at Belmarsh but their relationship only began when she started a new job as a probation officer at HMP Brixton.
Robinson, who I guess has/had a phone on the inside, messaged Dent-Reynolds on social media before she visited him several times in jail.
She accessed restricted records about his murder case and discussed them with him – telling him his co-defendants “all stuck it on you”.
She also told him the case was “f***ing ridiculous” and that she just wanted him “out” of prison.
Robinson replied: “I just want to be with you.” Awww?
Prosecutor Sam Willis said: “In a nutshell, whilst working for His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service, the defendant engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a serving prisoner.
“On 12 June 2024, Kieran Robinson’s cell was searched. A letter from the defendant was recovered, as well as a diary containing the defendant’s address, mobile phone number, and Instagram username.
“The defendant’s mobile telephone was downloaded and examined. Numerous WhatsApp messages between the defendant and Kieran Robinson were found on it, including messages of a sexual nature, images of both the defendant and Robinson, and a message from Robinson asking her for a ‘favour’.”
Chantelle Stocks, defending Dent-Reynolds, said her client was of previous “impeccable good character”.
She added: “This is not a case where there has been any suggestion of in-person physical sexual contact between the pair. For the most part they exchanged sweet nothings that had minimal impact.”
So it sounds like they didn’t get a chance to be intimate, and it still amounts to misconduct given her role in the prison system and the fact she was texting him and accessing classified information for him.
What else is there to say about these ladies really? It seems they love a bad boy, and nowhere are bad boys more in supply than in prison.
A convicted murderer serving a 23-year sentence though? Bethany Dent-Reynolds hit the jackpot of bad boys with this one! Just too bad they never got the chance to consummate their relationship and probably never will. C’est la vie.
