Vitaly Speaks Out After Being Released From ‘Jail Hell’ In The Philippines
YouTuber/streamer Vitaly is back online after being released from jail in the Philippines – where he spent a total of 290 days in detention (it could have been a lot worse).
Quick recap for the unitiated: Vitaly went over to the Philippines last year to do some live-streaming and ended up committing a few crimes; including theft, harassment and disturbing the peace. This behaviour did not go down too well with the Filipinos, and Vitaly was thrown into a Manila prison cell on April 3 2024, where he has remained until the other day.
He’s now back in Russia and loving his return to freedom:

Despite residing in the U.S. and holding a U.S. green card, Vitaly was deported to his homeland of Russia. This is because he is not a U.S. citizen, and his criminal record from the Philippines makes him “deportable” under U.S. immigration laws.
Fortunately for Vitaly, it seems only poor Russians actually get called up to fight on the front lines, and so he’ll easily be able to pay off whatever fee is required to stop him joining the fight against Ukraine.
Which is just as well, because he probably needs some time to adjust after spending 290 boiling hot days in a Philippines prison.
Say what you want about the guy – he’s clearly very resilient. Time will tell whether he’s actually learned his lesson or whether he’s going to wind up back in jail somehow.
Apparently he’s putting out a documentary which will cover the whole saga. What, you didn’t think he was going to go through all that and not monetise it, did you? Something tells me he won’t be returning to southeast Asia for a while, though.
