Huge Fights Keep Breaking Out At Winter Wonderland As Event Becomes ‘Most Complained About In Europe’
Anyone who’s ever been to Winter Wonderland knows there’s always a few wrong’uns in attendance, but I don’t think we’ve ever seen the levels of chaos that we’re seeing during the 2025 festive season.
Here’s some of the footage that’s been coming out of the London event over the Christmas period:
Mulled wine does seem to make folk want to go off on each other, although maybe it’s also having to pay £11 for a hot chocolate?
Ryan, a guy who filmed one of the videos, says one fight started after a man accused another of ‘touching his missus’.

He told MailOnline: ‘Everyone was very drunk, you could tell something was going to happen.
‘It was really lawless and chaotic and there were families with children as well. I go every year, and I’ve never seen anything like that.’
Unsurprisingly, a December 2025 survey based on thousands of TripAdvisor reviews has now ranked Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland as the most complained-about festive attractions in Europe and the UK.
The reviews cite extortionate costs for food, drinks, and rides, the ‘claustrophobic’ and ‘dangerous’ atmosphere, ‘rude and heavy-handed’ security, and a lack of adequate staff to deal with all the fights that break out.
Even still, Winter Wonderland is on course to draw roughly three million visitors this year and generate around £100 million for the London economy. So I guess it’s worth it, in the end, as far as the organisers are concerned.
On the plus side, at least no rides malfunctioned this year. Remember what happened in 2023?
