British OnlyFans Model Jailed For Trying To Smuggle £200,000 Worth Of Drugs Into Spain

It’s a day ending in “y”, which means we have another story about a British national being busted for attempting to smuggle drugs abroad.

Clara Wilson, 36, from Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire, was arrested at Barcelona’s aptly-named El Prat airport after travelling from Thailand with more than 34kg of cannabis in her suitcase, worth around £200,000.

Unlike so many other Brits before her, Clara actually admitted wrongdoing rather than trying to sell some story about how she was forced or coerced into it by a mystery drugs gang.

As such, she was given a relatively lenient three-year prison sentence… although she’ll also have to pay a £185,000 fine. Yikes!

Clara was arrested after getting off a flight from Bangkok, with police finding 60-vacuum packed packages of cannabis in her suitcase.

Public prosecutors said in an indictment drafted before her trial: ‘The drugs were transported by the accused with the intention of selling it to third parties on the black market where its value would have been €213,991.’

Clara has also been told that she’ll face an extra two months in prison if she fails to pay the £185,000 fine. So I guess it’s pretty much a guarantee that she’ll be spending an extra two months in prison. After all, would she have risked smuggling 34kg of cannabis internationally if she had that kind of money to her name? Somehow I doubt the OnlyFans career is popping off, although it might pick up some stream now that she’s got a bunch of websites blogging about her.

What’s not clear is whether the fine gets waived after she inevitably fails to pay it and spends an extra two months in prison? If that’s the case, I’m sure she’d prefer to do an extra two months, even if she did have the cash handy. Two (extra) months in jail to save £185,000? No-brainer.
