In what may be the overreaction the century, a man in Brazil picked up a shopping trolley like he was Brock Lesnar and LAUNCHED it at a woman’s head after she kept bumping her cart into his in the queue.

According to MailOnline, police “recorded the case as mild bodily injury and the man was released”, so that’s good (well, the mild injury part at least). The man claimed the woman kept calling him “gay”, which may or may not be true, but doesn’t warrant bashing her head in with a shopping trolley either way. I mean that was downright attempted murder! Pretty mental that they let him go with a slap on the wrist.

P.S. could this be the new shopping cart test?

Have to say though, very poor situational awareness from this young lady to just stand there while a shopping cart gets lobbed at her head, but I guess it’s the last thing she expected to happen even if she did catch him picking it up in her periphery. She was on the phone too, to be fair. Who among us isn’t clueless to their surroundings when on the phone?
