You didn’t think we were going to end the week without Joey Barton having another pop at Eni Aluko, did you?

Eni Aluko recently appeared on Andrew Gold’s Heretics podcast to discuss diversity, equality and inclusion in the UK, and clashed with the host over how racist the nation is. A short compilation of their discussion is doing the rounds on Twitter:

Which prompted Joey Barton to chime in with exactly the sort of reaction you would expect from him:

Admittedly I haven’t seen the full thing (I’ve linked it below), but it’s always good to get two people who have completely opposing views on a topic to sit down and hash things out like adults, even if they both end up accusing the other of being racist and arguing over who is more privileged and why.

From the looks of that teaser, I doubt either of them ended up changing their minds on the topic even a tiny bit, but fair play to them both for at least trying to have a reasonable discussion about things.

Obviously no secret as to where Joey Barton stands on the matter. How about getting him and Eni Aluko sat opposite each other on one of these podcasts to really delve into the issues they have with each other? There’s got to be a podcast host out there willing to host that, surely?

Somehow, I doubt Aluko would be too willing – given what she’s taking Barton to court for.
