ESPN commissioned artist Cristiano Siqueira to design a bunch of World Cup cartoons in order to promote the event (I guess they actually need to promote it over there in the states because they don’t realise how fucking awesome it is in the first place) and he came up with these absolutely awesome cartoons for each of the 32 nations competing.

All of your favourite characters are there, including Balotelli with his famous flex, Ronaldo with his Golden Ball,  the Ghanaian players dancing and Gerrard slipping over. Just kidding that last one isn’t actually in it – instead you’ve just got Rooney looking kind of pumped up, which isn’t really anywhere near as inspiring as Balotelli getting pumped up but hey I guess you’ve got to work with what you’re given.

It’s still an amazing cartoon set and has only got me more stoked for the World Cup, which starts in three weeks.
