I’ve hung out with quite a few DJs over the years – and I’m talking people that DJ other people’s songs in clubs, not actual DJs who mix etc – and pretty much all of them universally say that they absolutely hate it when some dickhead starts bothering them at the booth and making requests.

With that in mind, I’m sure that every single DJ out there is going to absolutely love the idea that ‘music lover’ Fatima Camarena has recently had, tattooing a QR code on her arm that links to a playlist with her favourite songs on so that the DJ can find them immediately and she doesn’t have to shout at him over the noise in the club. What a genius. Everyone is going to love that.
Somehow though, Fatima did manage to find a DJ who was willing to indulge her music taste over in her native Mexico and the pair collaborated for a video that now has 7.2 million views. Here’s what DJ Jonatan Zamora had to say about it all:

She is a super fan of the band, Mi Banda El Mexicano, and whilst we were at a party, she asked to play that song (What Delicious Coconuts) because she was about to go to Cancun!
We all liked it because of the rhythm and the peculiar way in which Fátima sang it, and from then we put it in all the party playlists!
One day she went to get a tattoo and she came to us with the surprise that she had tattooed the song, so if she was at a party she would just need to stretch out her arm and say, put that on.
Literally can’t believe that the girl managed to find a DJ that actually thought this was a good idea. Or that anyone else thinks that it’s actually cool to get a Spotify code tattooed on your arm.
Chances are she’s probably not gonna like that song in a few years, yet everywhere she goes people are gonna ask her about the code and put it on and laugh at her dumb taste in music/tattoos. Really think she’s gonna live to regret it.
And that’s before we even think about the DJs that are going to get tricked into playing her crappy song in the coming months. Would somebody please think of the DJs!!!
