I said yesterday that I hoped that the Binley Mega Chippy meme would fall out of the lexicon ASAP, but it looks like it’s going to be around for at least a little while longer as the latest post to go viral is a TikTok from a woman absolutely fuming that she’s been taken on a date there instead of the promised location of The Shard.

The video seems to be an elaborate TikTok prank from @J2Hundred who said he was going to take his girlfirend @j2xkia down to London but ended up taking her to Coventry instead. Kinda seems like they were both in on it to make some of that ‘awesome viral content’ that the kids love so much these days, but it’s still a *fairly* funny series of events from both of their TikToks (and a longer version on YouTube too):

Yeah OK that was actually fairly funny I suppose like I said. Sorta. I guess that’s the kind of content that people want to wrap their lives around these days though isn’t it?

Gotta say though that I really liked the way that even J2Hundred has no idea why Binley Mega Chippy was going unbelievably viral on TikTok either, despite being a major TikTok star himself. Told you there was no explanation. Just the world we live in these days I suppose.
