Widow, 55, Finds Love With 29-Year-Old Jamaican Dancehall Artist After Meeting Him On TikTok

A 55-year-old widow has found love with a 29-year-old Jamaican dancehall singer after meeting him on TikTok.

Kimberley Hurst, a security complaints manager from Tampa, Florida, is now relocating to Jamaica to be alongside new boyfriend Jevor Hardware AKA dancehall artist Tappest Official.

Kimberley initially connected with Jevor on TikTok in April 2025 while her husband was battling cancer, eventually passing away in June that year.

Jevor was such a swell guy that he even asked how she was coping with the bereavement, but Kimberley admits she “thought he was a player” at first.

When Jevor offered to be her “tour guide” in Jamaica, Kimberley was on the next flight out, and he even picked her up from the airport. What a gent!

Despite the 26-year age gap, the pair developed feelings for each other – with Jevor taking Kim snorkeling and teaching her how to twerk.

The couple have now been official since August 2025 and Kim has been travelling to Jamaica every 6 weeks to see Jevor, with plans to relocate there permanently this year.

On the haters who doubt their love is real, Kim says: “A lot of people talk about a green card or say he ‘uses’ me. The most important part is we don’t allow it to affect our relationship.

“It really affects our family and friends and we’ve acknowledged everyone has a right to an opinion but not everyone has an insight into our life. I can’t lie in the beginning at the start it was hard to read the comments and they were really harsh.

“I can say that you can take it one or two ways – by crying or taking it and running in a way to teach people it is OK to be in an age gap relationship because if you love and treat with respect, your eyes are open and you don’t accept anything less from that person.”

If that’s not true love, I don’t what it is. Yeah, it’s a bit fvcked up to think that Kimberley was flirting with Jamaicans on TikTok while her husband was dying from cancer, but at the end of the day, the heart wants what the heart wants.
