Nigel Farage Rattled As He’s Grilled On £5 Million Crypto Donation
Nigel Farage thought today would be a good day to do the media rounds given that everyone would be distracted by Keir Starmer’s resignation and thus less interested in the scandal surrounding the £5 million crypto donation he received (and failed to declare) from a British billionaire living in Thailand.
Unfortunately for Farage; BBC Breakfast, LBC, TalkTV, and BBC 4 Radio were all more interested in asking about the crypto donation, and boy did they give him a grilling…
If you have a spare 3 mins and 45 secs today, watch this fantastic grilling by Sally Nugent on BBC Breakfast.

The very first time I've seen Farage questioned properly about his £5M bung, and it's fair to say, he totally fluffed it.
There are points when you can see Farage… pic.twitter.com/fn71FiTtcP
‘I can spend it on Ferraris if I want to!’

'Then why did you say it was for personal security?’

It gets very tense… pic.twitter.com/e3w58yqW76
Even Julia Hartley-Brewer gave him a hard time about it – imagine that…

Oof. The guy just can’t stick to one story and has no adequate explanation that makes sense because there’s blatantly something very dodgy about this £5 million crypto “gift”. It’s for security, it’s a gift, it’s a reward for Brexit, it’s for Ferraris, it’s nobody’s business, no one cares, his life is in danger. The man’s all over the place!
It’s clear Farage realises this is a scandal that could completely screw up his hopes of becoming PM because failing to declare the gift and then acting super shady whenever he’s asked about it is just a terrible look – even to his own supporters.
If any other UK leader had done the same thing, you can guarantee Farage would be the first one demanding their resignation.
The Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards is investigating the “gift” and the outcome could have seriously damaging consequences for Farage and Reform. Let’s see how it plays out.
