In October 1961 the Ruskis delivered the Tsar Bomba, the largest nuclear device to be detonated of all time – 50 Megatons. 50 megatons doesn’t mean all that much until you learn from Wikipedia like I just did, that the total energy of all explosives used in WWII (including Hiroshima and Nagasaki) is estimated to have been 3 megatons. Here’s a diagram to really ram the monstrosity home:

All Nuclear Tests Ever - Tsar Bomba Comparison

Oh Lord. Is there really any need to test something like that?

The full video is 15 minutes long but I know you’re spoiled with a wonderful array of Sick Chirpse articles that you’re probably chomping at the bit to click on, so I’ll show you the version that’s sped up x3. It’s still 5 minutes long (you do the math) but I highly recommend watching it all the way through. It starts off pretty slow but once it gets to 1962 all hell breaks loose. As I said at the beginning, I was pretty shocked by the sheer number of these buggers that have been released all over the shop. Have a look…
