Trump Says The US Will Hit Iran ‘Extremely Hard’ Over The Next Two Or Three Weeks

Oil prices have shot up and the markets have slid again as Trump announced in his national address that the U.S. will hit Iran ‘extremely’ hard over the next two or three weeks.

The President claimed the war is “nearing completion” and that the U.S. could “finish the job” within the next few weeks. Where have we heard that one before?

He also repeated a claim that he would bomb Iran “back to the Stone Ages, where they belong”. What a lovely Easter message…

Clearly, Trump has lost the plot and is sounding like an absolute madman. There were hopes that he would be announcing a total victory/withdrawal from the war in his much-hyped national address, but instead he’s basically said they’re about to go in even harder.

He’s also still crying about Europe and other nations not helping him out, and argued that they can worry about opening the Strait of Hormuz themselves. Which sounds completely desperate and like he realises how badly he fvcked up.

Despite Trump’s claims that Iran had requested a ceasefire, Tehran’s foreign ministry dismissed the reports as “false and baseless”.

No doubt he will post something soon vaguely suggesting that a ceasefire is imminent and the markets will go back up again. Then they’ll dip when people realise he’s talking absolute sh1t again. Rinse and repeat.

There’s no way Trump doesn’t realise that the war in Iran has been a disaster that has resulted in Americans turning on him, and destroyed his relationships with allies who he thought would be stupid enough to be dragged into it.

Clearly the man is compromised by Israel but just has to stand there and pretend like he’s calling the shots and has it all under control. Although I guess the alternative for him is that Israel releases evidence of Trump diddling kids. Well, either that or they assassinate him.

Of course, despite what Trump says, there’s no guarantee that this will be over any time soon. The war could rage on for months or years and expand to involve many other nations. Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.
