5. Jermaine Beckford (Everton V Chelsea)

I didn’t realise just how good this goal was when I first saw it, as Beckford runs the entire length of the pitch and skins all of Chelsea’s players (sure he does get lucky with that one rebound) but it’s still pretty impressive and the finish after the run is some kind of Thierry Henry kinda shit. Great goal. Sorry about the quality of the video but it was the best I could find; it comes with a nice intro too.

4. Johan Elmander (Bolton V Wolves)

I don’t really like Johan Elmander because he’s so inconsistent but every now and then he does do something completely amazing like this – which is the kind of dribble that you would normally associate with someone like Luis Suarez – and skins three Wolves players in the box then passes it into the net. This video comes with some cool stats, a cool soundtrack and a cool replay where all the colours change.

3. Dimitar Berbatov (Manchester United V Liverpool)

Everyone loves a good bicicleta and people were already championing this one as the goal of the season when it featured as the second goal of a hat trick early on in the season. It is awesome but I think we all know which bicicleta beat it. Again sorry for the crappy video but it was the only one I could find? Why aren’t there more videos of this awesome goal on Youtube?

2. Chieck Tiote (Newcastle V Arsenal)

This was a great goal in what could be one of the greatest comebacks ever. I would be way more into it if it wasn’t for the fact it Newcastle. Sorry about the quality again but it’s a really great video where somebody has dubbed ‘boom shake the room’ over it and when the ball flies into the net coincides with ‘boom.’ There’s also some great Geordie commentating and Steve Harper the Newcastle goalkeeper does some kind of fake elbow drop on the players celebrating.

1 Wayne Rooney (Manchester United V Manchester City)

It had to be this goal. One of the best bicicletas ever and in such a big game. Mindblowing.

It was interesting to note that in the whole top 50 there wasn’t one goal from Birmingham City.
