With everything else going on in the world at the moment, it’s important that we spare a though for the real victims of the pandemic. Not that this story is in any way related to the pandemic, but if you just listen to this young lady’s story of battling mean comments on Instagram, you might even be convinced she has it worse than someone who has died from coronavirus.

… she was subject to heaps of mean comments from faceless Instagram trolls. Oh the humanity!

Thankfully, The Sun was on hand to share this heart-wrenching story with the world:

I posted a photo, so what? When I share something, I’m not trying to send any message.

I’m just posting a picture that I like.

But when I shared that [topless] photo, I received an avalanche of messages.

Normally I wouldn’t bother about them, but this [time] around they were so aggressive.

I just think people simply can’t accept that I’ve found myself outside tennis, that I can live happily without sport and not sinking into depression.

Indeed, after Sofya retired from tennis at 15 following a back injury, her only option was to sign up with a major modelling agency and get paid to travel around the world taking photos on the beach. What, you think she has it easy? Clearly you just skipped over the part where I said she’s getting mean comments on Instagram!

Well anyway, at least this helps the rest of us put our own problems into perspective. You may have lost a relative to coronavirus but at least you don’t have trolls on Instagram saying that your boobs are shit. Thoughts & prayers with Sofya at this time.
