Sacha Baron Cohen’s New Film ‘Ladies First’ Is Being Called The ‘Easiest Boycott Of All Time’

Jagshemash! Sacha Baron Cohen may no longer be the loveable, big time superstar he was back in the day (quite the opposite), but it looks like he’s still putting films out despite doing nothing funny (as far as I know) in years.

Unfortunately for him, it seems a lot of people have already decided they will be boycotting his new comedy ‘Ladies First’ – which dropped a new trailer this week:

Aside from the Rebel Wilson drama, audiences are also unhappy with Cohen over his support for Israel in its ongoing conflict with Gaza and Iran. He also privately met with TikTok executives in 2023 to demand they address what he called “the biggest antisemitic movement since the Nazis,” specifically regarding content related to the conflict.

Critics also argue his work – like the series The Spy – glorifies Israeli intelligence while dehumanising Arab nations.

As such, here’s the general reaction to his new movie trailer:

Well, I doubt the boycotters will be missing out because it doesn’t look like a great film anyway, Pretty sure the Two Ronnies pulled off the same concept a lot better years ago.

Still, at least we’ll always have the memories. Never forget:
