Rupert Lowe Tells Joe Rogan That Sharia Courts Are Operating In Britain
Rupert Lowe went on Joe Rogan’s podcast earlier and within 40 seconds had mentioned ‘rape gangs’, so you just knew we were in for a treat.
Unfortunately, the Restore Britain leader spent the podcast making a bunch of flimsy, unsubstantiated and at times completely untrue claims, including that Shariah Courts are operating in the UK:

Joe Rogan's response: "WOAH"
Rupert says once we've dealt with the illegal migrants we need to deal with "these people"

Of course, this isn’t quite true. While unofficial “Sharia councils” operate in England, they are not official courts of law and have no statutory jurisdiction. They function as voluntary, private arbitration bodies – similar to Jewish Beth Din courts or Catholic tribunals – and their rulings are only binding if both parties explicitly consent.
Most importantly – they deal with marriage, divorce, financial, property and estate matters, and their rulings cannot override UK law. The way Rupert Lowe describes it, he wants you to assume that these Shariah councils are having women stoned to death, or something.
Unfortunately, Joe Rogan offered no rebuttal and Young Jamie didn’t fact-check like he usually does for some reason, so it’s too bad that most people who watch the podcast will just gobble up everything Rupert Lowe says.
That’s not say that Lowe was talking nonsense the entire podcast – he made some valid points about student loans, the economy and education system – but to just blatantly lie about other topics? It’s outrageous, to be fair.
He also told Rogan that Dunblane was “one murder” that resulted in the British gun ban in the 90s. Why lie about something like that?
