Amazingly (or maybe not), it looks as though Prince Andrew is going to escape a conviction or any legal punishment whatsoever over sexual assault allegations. Breaking news via Sky is that he has settled out of court with accuser Virginia Giuffre, as explained in this court document:
He’s presumably paid BIG money for Giuffre to drop her case against him; obviously an amount she couldn’t refuse. Maybe that’s what she was after all along? In any case, if there’s one silver lining it’s that Prince Andrew’s public image will never recover, no matter how much he says he’s going to “support the fight” against sex trafficking and help its victims. This is a guy who said he would cooperate with the FBI at the beginning of all this, and didn’t. He also said he would fight Virginia Giuffre in court to clear his name, and didn’t. So I think we all know he was hiding something.
