Man Who Filed Sexual Harassment Lawsuit Against JPMorgan Exec Identified As Chirayu Rana
The allegations that JPMorgan Executive Lorna Hajdini turned her staffer into her “sex slave” are fabricated, according to JPMorgan, who are standing by their exec on this one.
The New York post reports that 35-year-old Chirayu Rana is the man who brought the lawsuit.
If you missed the original story, married broker Rana has basically accused Hajdini of turning him into her office sex slave; which involved (allegedly) spiking him with Viagra, forcing him to suck her toes, and making him cry, amongst many other things.
He also accused her of saying: “If you don’t f*** me soon, I’m going to ruin you. Never forget, I f***ing own you.”
There was also apparently a racial element to the harassment, with Rana alleging he was told: “You really think management wants some Indian boy leading organisations?”
Also: “I bet your little Asian fish-head wife doesn’t have these cannons.”
And: “Birthday BJ for the brown boy? My little brown boy.”
JPMorgan strongly denies the claims, issuing the statement below:
“Following an investigation, we don’t believe there’s any merit to these claims. While numerous employees cooperated with the investigation, the complainant refused to participate and has declined to provide facts that would be central to support his allegations.”

Hajdini also hit back in a statement issued to The Post via her lawyers: “Lorna categorically denies the allegations. She never engaged in any inappropriate conduct with this individual of any kind.”
Well, I have to admit I’ve just done a complete 180 on this story. Initially the allegations sounded too bold and outrageous to not be true, but it’s looking increasingly like Chirayu Rana is crazy enough to have made the whole thing up. According to the NY Post, Rana did not even report to Hajdini in his role. The two simply both worked on the leveraged finance team!
Also shocking to learn that the accuser is a 35-year-old man? Not that 35-year-old men can’t be sexually harassed and taken advantage of, but I was really expecting a junior colleague who was relatively new to the banking world.
Surely if there’s any truth to his claims whatsoever, Raja will have some kind of evidence or paper trail to back up his story. Otherwise I really don’t know what his end game here was. Time will tell…
