It’s well known that viagra can be a dangerous drug, but I’m more worried about my dick having a permanent hard on rather than thinking that it could somehow affect my eyes as well.

Maybe I need to get more information a la Pele though because apparently taking too much viagra can make your vision turn red permanently. This is what happened to one 31 year old man from New York after he swigged directly from a bottle of sildenafil citrate – the active ingredient in viagra.

I mean granted most of us probably aren’t going to do anything as stupid as that but it’s probably an idea not to take five viagra tablets because not only will you have a stinking erection you can’t get rid of but also might have to view the world via a red filter for the rest of your life. Here’s what Dr. Richard Rosen said about the case:

Viagra

While we know colored-vision disturbance is a well-described side effect of this medication, we have never been able to visualize the structural effect of the drug on the retina until now.

To actually see these types of structural changes was unexpected, but it explained the symptoms that the patient suffered from.

I mean that doesn’t exactly sound too sympathetic to this dude’s plight does it? More like he’s treating him like a science experiment rather than actually helping him return his vision to normal. He does only have himself to blame for that though.

Moral of the story – don’t order sildenafil citrate off the internet and swig it direct from the bottle. Will only end un permanent red eye.

For more viagra, check out this guy who had to have his penis amputated when he overdosed on it. That’s a serious problem.
