The repeat offender who viciously attacked a female judge at a Las Vegas court the other week has been dragged out in front of her again so that she can complete his sentencing. Only this time, they’ve stuck a Hannibal Lecter-style mask and handcuffs on him, which is something they neglected to do last time.
Here’s a reminder of the brutal attack committed by Deobra Redden on Judge Mary Kay Holthus, after she had just denied him bail:

Sounds like he’ll be back in front of another court again for sentencing related to the assault itself, so I don’t fancy Deobra Redden’s chances at being a free man anytime soon. In what might be a fate worse than that though, the internet has been absolutely meme’ing him into oblivion:

There’s also a bunch of comments about how dehumanising it is to put a person in a mask during sentencing, but I can see why the courts would make allowances for violent psychopaths like this guy.
