If there’s one thing the internet loves to do these days, it’s dig up old interviews of celebrities where they’ve said questionable things and hold them to account for it a decade later. There’s no better way to feel morally righteous while ignoring our own shortcomings, mistakes and imperfections!

Well this week it’s the turn of Machine Gun Kelly, who gave this interview to Fuse back in 2013. As you can hear for yourself, he dismisses the notion that he’s waiting till Kendall Jenner turns 18 to make his move on her, saying ‘I’m not waiting till she’s 18, I’ll go now’. Yikes!

He continues:

I’m 23, dog, I’m not like a creepy age, y’know what I’m saying? I’m 23, she’s 17, and she’s a celebrity. There’s no limits right there.

There you go – it’s not creepy at all. He says so himself. He also justifies this by listing a number of other rock stars who dated underage girls, including ‘one of the greatest lead singers ever’, Robert Plant, who ‘dated a girl who was 14’. I mean come on, even legendary children’s entertainer Jimmy Saville was doing it. What’s the problem?

MGK also sent a since-deleted Tweet about Eminem’s then-16-year-old daughter Hailie Jade back in the day, describing her as ‘hot as f***’. No doubt MGK is happy to leave these comments in the past, seeing as he’s busy drinking Megan Fox’s blood these days. For now though, he’ll have to endure the wrath of the Twitter mob until he bows his head and apologises (or ignores it till it goes away). Unlucky.
