Luisa Zissman Is Under Fire After Moaning About Being ‘A Refugee’ After Returning To UK From Dubai

Former Apprentice star Luisa Zissman is facing backlash after describing herself as being in her “refugee era” upon returning to the UK from Dubai.

Zissman, 38, relocated to the UAE in December 2025 with her millionaire husband and two of her children, and now claims she was “displaced from [her] home” due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Filming herself walking through China Town in London, Zissman told her 712,000 followers: “I’m now in my refugee era, displaced from my home”. She added that she was “very f***ing cold” and mocked the “grey” UK weather.

Naturally, social media users began piling on, calling out her comments as “out of touch” and “laughable,” and pointing out the difference between a wealthy influencer flying business class to their second home and actual refugees fleeing war.

Funnily enough, just days prior, Zissman had insisted Dubai was the “safest country in the world” and mocked other tourists for acting like they were on the “frontlines”.

Now she’s back in London and moaning about the crime rate, stating she was “really paranoid someone is going to steal my phone”.

Thought and prayers with Luisa Zissman in these trying times. A multi-millionaire refugee displaced from her swanky Dubai apartment and forced fly business class to her second home in London, all the while having to make do with expensive clothes and phone and only having her hair done once a week. It’s a hard life.

Meanwhile, other British influencers in Dubai are taking their chances as they fear that returning to the UK could get HMRC on their cases. Paying tax Vs being bombed to death? Tough choice.
