Ludacris Pulls Out Of ‘MAGA Fest’ Concert After Fan Backlash, Nelly Remains On The Bill
Ludacris has pulled out of the Rock The Country festival tour following backlash from fans, with a representative for the rapper telling Rolling Stone that there was “a mix-up” about Luda’s inclusion on the lineup.
The rep explained: “Lines got crossed and he wasn’t supposed to be on there.”
The Rock the Country festival isn’t officially affiliated with Trump, but the promotional material is pure MAGA, with loads of red-state imagery and American flags and whatnot.

The rest of the line-up features artists like Kid Rock, Creed, Jason Aldean and Shinedown, who are openly pro-Trump.
Kid Rock said about the festival: “It’s this simple. Rock The Country isn’t just a music festival; it’s a movement. In 2026, as America celebrates its 250th anniversary, this is a place for hard-working, God-fearing patriots to gather as one and celebrate freedom, music, and the party of the year”.
Well, that about says it all really. I don’t think Ludacris would have been particularly bothered by all that as he has bills and baby mamas to pay like the rest of us, but I guess the backlash really got to him because he’s now decided to drop out of the festival.

Meanwhile, Nelly remains on the bill and couldn’t care less what the critics say about it.
The St. Louis legend actually performed at Trump’s Inaugural Ball in 2025, and when faced with backlash, defended his decision by saying: “He’s the president — he won!” and that he respected the office regardless of who held the title.
Can’t argue with that really. It also helps to have Trump on-side given the dramas he still occasionally finds himself in. Batter up!
