There’s a list going viral on Twitter right now of unacceptable places to take a woman on a first date, first shared via the @nugget Instagram account alongside the note: “Here is a list of places women absolutely refuse to go on a first date to, and thank you to the ladies who reached out to me to help me on my list.”

Fellas… take note?

Damn. What did half of these perfectly acceptable places to take women on a first date do to anyone? I always thought it was a standard procedure to just meet at a bar or pub for drinks. It’s the perfect low stakes meeting to see if there’s any connection between you! Meet for a drink and if it goes well, do dinner on the second date. But apparently that’s a no-go as far as the ladies who put this list together are concerned.

I suppose we can blame the fantasy lives of the rich and famous on Instagram for warping these ladies’ sense of reality, and thinking a first date at the cinema or bowling alley is beneath them. Still, I guess it also helps men filter out the women who aren’t worth their time if they believe a coffee on the first date is unacceptable. Would take much longer to figure out they aren’t worth your time pre social media.
