Lewis Hamilton Says Billionaires Shouldn’t Exist And Calls For Wealth Limits
Lewis Hamilton is worth £435 million, so it’s a tad surprising to find that he has a problem with how much money one person can have.
Hamilton, 41, told Jay Shetty that he believes there should be a wealth cap:

He said: “One of the things that I struggle with every day is that there is such a disparity between the wealthy and the poor”
“When you drive around LA there’s still so many people living on the streets. You shouldn’t be able to have billions”
“I think there should be a limit to how much you can have because there’s enough to go around for everyone.”
Rich people just love saying stuff like this once they make hundreds of millions, don’t they? What makes it even more hypocritical is that Hamilton is currently dating literal billionaire Kim Kardashian. Why doesn’t he kickstart his mission for wealth equality by asking Kim to give away a few hundred million? Better yet, how about donating his own millions, since this was all his idea?
That’s not to say that Hamilton doesn’t make a valid point, of course. A billion quid/dollars is just an obscene amount of money, but then so is £435 million. Just seems like another classic case of a multi-millionaire going “look at billionaires!” to take the heat of himself.
Bill Burr did the same thing a year ago when he said billionaires need to be ‘put down like dogs’.
