I remember going to see ‘Jeepers Creepers’ when I was a teenager and sorta enjoying it but being kinda underwhelmed by the villain – who was some weird creeping monster who wanted to feed on humans every now and again so he could steal their body parts – but apparently there was enough love for it back in the day that it’s worth putting a reboot out now.

‘Jeepers Creepers Reborn’ picks up on The Creeper some years after the original trilogy and actually looks like it might be interesting from the trailer and synopsis below. Take a look and see what you think:

Jeepers Creepers Reborn unfolds as the Horror Hound Festival holds its first ever event in Louisiana, where it attracts hundreds of geeks, freaks and die-hard horror fans from far and wide.

Among them is fanboy Chase and his girlfriend Laine, who is forced to come along for the ride. But as the event approaches, Laine begins to experience unexplained premonitions and disturbing visions associated with the town’s past, and in particular, local legend/urban myth The Creeper. A

s the festival arrives and the blood-soaked entertainment builds to a frenzy, Laine believes that something unearthly has been summoned…and that she is at the center of it.

Yeah see that actually looks kinda interesting that the kids get taken to a scary Creeper themed house and then actually get stalked by the Creeper. Of course, it could get a bit too meta and just not be very good at all, but I’m tempted to go and see it after watching the trailer and I definitely wasn’t just when I heard that they were doing a reboot of it. That’s gotta mean something.

Director Timo Vuorensola was behind that weird Nazi space alien movie ‘Iron Sky’ too which I remember being a lot of fun. High hopes for this one.

For more of the same, check out A24’s new horror movie ‘Bodies Bodies Bodies’. Looks like another hit.
