Horror movies are almost always told from the victim’s perspective, so it’s refreshing to finally get a horror film that is fully told from the killer’s POV, coming in 2024 with ‘In A Violent Nature’.

Here’s the first teaser & official synopsis:

Writer/Director Chris Nash’s feature debut, In a Violent Nature, upends a straightforward Friday the 13th-inspired slasher concept by reframing the events almost entirely from the perspective of the undead killer.

So the teaser gives us precious little to go off, but I’m digging the tone it sets and all the complimentary feedback from the reviewers. I mean, imagine a Friday the 13th film with Jason as the main star? We came close with Freddy Vs Jason, but he was never quite the focal point. Halloween Kills also came close, but Michael still wasn’t the main character. Will be interesting to see whether the killer for ‘In A Violent Nature’ is a straight up psychopath slaughtering people for fun or whether he feels he’s justified or righteous in what he’s doing.

Weirdly, the ‘In A Violent Nature’ release date is listed as January 24, 2024, which can’t be right because that date has come and gone and it’s definitely not available to watch. I guess we’ll have to update you when more information is available.
