Ice Cube confirmed on a new episode of the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast that he lost a $9 million acting role because of his refusal to get the COVID vaccine. Cube was set to star alongside Jack Black in a Sony comedy called ‘Oh Hell No’ – which is what he ended up saying to producers who requested that all cast members be vaccinated in order to participate in production in Hawaii.

“I turned down a movie because I didn’t want to get the motherf-cking jab. I turned down $9 million. I didn’t want get the jab. F-ck that jab. F-ck ya’ll for trying to make me get it. I don’t know how Hollywood feels about me right now.”

Later in the interview, Cube clarified that he “didn’t turn down” the movie, but rather he was dropped after refusing to take the vaccine:

“Those m-therfuckers didn’t give it to me because I wouldn’t get the shot. I didn’t turn it down. They just wouldn’t give it to me. The covid shot, the jab…I didn’t need it. I didn’t catch that shit at all. Nothing. F-ck them. I didn’t need that shit.”

Well I think he’s made his feelings pretty clear on the matter. I don’t know if this means that Ice Cube is an anti-vaxxer per se, but it looks as though he doesn’t personally feel the need to take it. Even if it means an extra $9 million in the bank, and a chance to go to Hawaii! Pretty amazing that he’s still being offered $9 million roles tbh – is he still that big of a draw? I can’t remember anything decent he’s been in since the Friday films.
