I know that the Queen has died and that’s an absolutely humongous event in the history of the world, but I would still argue that the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial is the one that we’ll be remembering when we think about 2022.

Obviously there was going to be a documentary about all this – and probably an ‘American Crime Story’ somewhere down the line too – but it’s kind of surprising that they’ve managed to get it all finished in a couple of months. ‘Johnny vs Amber: The US Trial’ is due to premiere next Tuesday September 20th on Discovery+ and looks like it’s probably going to be a must watch.

Here’s the first trailer:

With intimate access to Johnny Depp’s lawyers, legal experts and journalists, the series gives a forensic account of the key evidence and turning points of the case from both sides, allowing viewers to make up their own minds about who to believe.

Yeah I guess that’ll probably show me some stuff I missed during the actual trial – even though it seemed like I was writing a couple of posts about it every day for months – but I don’t really know if I need to watch it now considering the trial ended ages ago and there isn’t that much to talk about anymore. Probably still worth a look though hey? Just to remember all the good times.

For more of the same, check out the details about Johnny Depp’s first new movie since all this stuff with Amber Heard. Doesn’t really look that good to be honest.
