WWE legend The Great Khali landed himself in a spot of bother this week after a video of an altercation with a toll worker in Punjab, India, went viral.

The toll plaza employees claim the 7ft 1in former WWE world champion slapped one of them, but if that happened, it wasn’t caught on video. Instead, it seems he argues with them and briefly grabs one worker’s arm before moving a barricade in front of his car:

Here’s The Tribune of India’s translation of the exchange:

“You were asked to show your ID card, show the ID card,” the toll employee tells Khali to which he replies, “You are blackmailing me”. The employee then says, “We are not blackmailing you. Why did you slap him? Show the ID card if you have it.”

“I do not have an ID card,” Khali said.

What does he need an ID card for? He’s the Great Khali! These guys are lucky they didn’t get overhand chopped or caught in the head squish move he used to do. Then again, going by the speed he used to move around a WWE ring, they’d probably have all the time in the world to get away from him.

In any case, Khali posted an Instagram claiming the toll workers were demanding selfies in exchange for letting him through (English translation in the caption):

They ‘misbehaved for a selfie’, but ended up with a viral video instead so I guess that’s probably worked out OK for them. Anyway, it looks like Khali just moved the barricade and let himself through so that’s good. Police say no one has filed a complaint over the incident, so I’m guessing they’re all happy to put the incident behind them. All’s well that ends well!
