Gerard Pique and Shakira are having one of the lamest public divorces of all time, as both of them take really petty pot shots at each other over and over again – although I’m not sure if Pique having to wear Shakira’s name on a Barcelona shirt whilst he played will ever be topped.

The pair of them are certainly going to try though. Shakira recently released a new song that was definitely about Pique cheating on her and leaving her for 23 year old co-worker Clara Chia Marti and it already has 125 million views in four days.
The song is in Spanish but you can see the subtitles below and references to being ‘the worst version of himself’, ‘talking about being a champion’ etc etc makes it pretty clear what she’s on about:
Yeah, that’s fairly petty but any artist knows that drama sells music, TV shows or whatever they’re trying to flog so it’s hardly surprising that she’s turned her personal trauma into a diss track. Everybody does it.
What is surprising is Pique’s attempt to troll her about it. One of the lines in the song is ‘You traded in a Ferrari for a Twingo’ and so Pique decided to actually trade his Ferrari in for a Twingo and drive it into work the next day.

Lol? I’m not really sure what he’s trying to prove by doing that? That’s he happier driving a Twingo rather than a Ferrari these days? That he can just get any car he wants whenever he wants? That he can hire people to film him driving into a car park whenever he wants?
Definitely don’t think that anything he’s done there is the flex that he might think it is. Better to just ignore it all and go on living your life, but I doubt either Pique or Shakira are going to do that any time soon. Can’t wait to see what’s coming up next.
