Former ‘Gay Cure’ Ministry Leader Busted Trying To Meet 14-Year-Old Boy
The married former leader of a gay conversion ministry has been busted trying to arrange sex with a 14-year-old boy, according to the NY Post.
Alan Chambers, 54, was caught in a police sting sending sexually explicit messages and attempting to arrange a meet over Snapchat and Telegram with an undercover officer posing as an underage boy.
As these weirdos usually do, Chambers sent the ‘boy’ a photo of his genitals, and also another image of his face. Smart!

Chambers text the boy about “forbidden love” and that he wanted him “so much,” and repeatedly tried to meet with him, including once offering to book him an Uber.
At one point, he did express concern over the age difference/being found out, texting: “Is it bad that I want to make love to someone who is 14?”
Investigators also uncovered other messages from Chambers soliciting sex from male prostitutes.
Chambers served as president of Exodus International — a Florida-based ministry that claimed it could “cure” homosexuality — from 2001 to 2013. What better way to meet young gay men than setting up a program to help them, eh?

Now, he did shut down the organisation in 2013 and even apologised to the LGBTQ community “for years of undue suffering and judgment at the hands of the organization and the church as a whole.” Which I guess means he had already realised he was deep in the closet, which is obviously fine, except when you’re chatting up 14-year-old boys on the internet.
In the end, father-of-two Chambers was arrested and charged with solicitation of a minor via computer, transmission of material harmful to minors, and unlawful use of a two-way communication device.
He was released on a $15,000 bond and is banned from having contact with individuals under the age of 18. He is also banned from social media and can go online only for work purposes.
