Fitness Influencer ‘Ran’ A 5K At The World Cup By Standing In His Seat And Doing Circles

Are American influencers ruining the World Cup? They seem to be on a mission to irritate and annoy everyone else who’s enjoying it, that’s for sure.

Case in point – fitness influencer Jacob Abrams Cohen AKA NotReallyWellness who thought it would be really cool and hilarious to complete a 5K by jogging in tiny circles around his seat and stepping over rows during the Morocco v Haiti game at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta earlier in the tournament:

He finished the exact distance before the final whistle, so fair play to him on that. But what was the point? Well, to go viral even if it means being an absolute twerp. So it’s mission accomplished on that front.

Social media users are hitting out at Jacob, calling him “annoying” and “lame” and “arrogant” and pointing out that people pay good money to attend these World Cup games, so the last thing they need is for some annoying influencer to be running around and bumping into them trying to complete a 5k in his seat.

Defending himself, Jacob said: “I was invited to the game with a brand and all people in the video wanted to be in it..”

Watching the clip, it doesn’t seem like the people in the video wanted to be in it and they definitely didn’t seem impressed with what they were looking at, but I guess we’ll have to take his word for it.

Can you imagine him trying this at a game in England? Wouldn’t last 2 minutes. Still, would love to see him try. Any brands want to float the idea to him?
