Female Prison Officer, 29, Had ‘Intimate Relationships’ With Inmates And Smuggled Drugs Into Jail

Another day, another British female prison officer busted having ‘intimate relationships’ with inmates and doing dodgy favours for them.

Kayleigh Robson, 29, carried on multiple romances with prisoners at HMP Peterborough over a nine-month period and has now appeared at Cambridge Crown Court accused of misconduct.

Robson also allegedly smuggled cannabis and tobacco into the Category B prison, and was involved in money laundering.

The mum-of-one is accused of having ‘wilfully misconducted herself’ in public office by ‘having intimate relationships with prisoners’ between June 1, 2020 and February 28, 2021.

The full misconduct charge states: ‘At Peterborough while acting as a public officer, namely prison officer, wilfully and without reasonable excuse or justification misconducted yourself in a way which amounted to an abuse of the public’s trust in the office holder by having intimate relationships with prisoners.’

Adam Hussain, 28, Ashley Neal, 30, and Roy Shalliker, 67, were busted alongside her in conspiring to bring contraband into the prison.

Robson and her co-defendants have a bloody long time to wait until they discover their fates, though. Their trial has been set for April 2027. They’ll be free on bail until then, so that’s nice for them.

You do have to wonder how these girls get the job in the first place. Is the screening process really that bad? Because this sort of thing does seem to happen a ridiculous amount.

I guess if you’re a girl that’s into bad boys, there’s no better place to find them than working in the prison system. They are literally in endless supply!

Of course, there must be loads of young female guards who don’t go around having sex with prisoners and smuggling drugs for them. Clearly though, better screening is needed.
