Ex-TOWIE Star Jordan Wright Found Dead In Phuket

Very sad news today as The Only Way Is Essex star Jordan Wright has died in Thailand aged 33.

The reality TV star and firefighter was found in a drainage canal near Bang Tao Beach in Phuket last Saturday, March 14, by a local worker.

CCTV captured him running around erratically before his death. He was said to have been found lying face down in the water, wearing a grey shirt and black trousers, but was barefoot. 

His iPhone 17 was found on the bank and a key card to Hotel COCO Phuket Bangtao, a 20-minute walk away, was in his pocket.

Authorities are now awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death, but have said ‘they found no signs of physical assault or a struggle’.

As per the Mail, Police chief Sutthirak Chuthong of Choeng Thale district station said: ‘The guest was identified as Mr Jordan Wright, a British national, whom the hotel had been unable to contact. A search of the room revealed no signs of forced entry or other irregularities.’

‘Hotel records showed that he had checked in alone and was due to check out on March 13, but staff reported that he never checked out.

‘CCTV footage showed that he appeared restless and was moving back and forth in front of the hotel before leaving the area.

‘His movements eventually led to the location where his body was later discovered.’

Wright had recently relocated to Thailand for a “fresh start” and had been documenting his travels on social media. His final Instagram post, shared about a week before his death, was captioned “I’m home” and showed him smiling in an infinity pool.

Just incredibly sad to read about. I don’t want to jump to any conclusions about drink or drugs but at the very least I think we can say the man was struggling with his mental health. What makes it really tragic is that his final IG post indicated he was feeling better about life, and was happy to be in Thailand.

RIP Jordan and thoughts with his friends and family.

Earlier this year, influencer Mary Magdelene was also found dead in Thailand in tragic circumstances.
