English Gymnast Gabriel Langton Rushed To Hospital After Suffering Major Fall During Commonwealth Games
English gymnast Gabriel Langton suffered a brutal head-first fall during the final rotation of the men’s team gymnastics final at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games the other day.
While attempting a release move three meters above the floor, the 19-year-old missed his grip on the horizontal bar and landed directly on his head and neck:

Incredibly, Langton has already been cleared of serious injury and discharged from hospital, which is shocking because that looked like instant paralysis. Thankfully he did land on thick foam and kind of blocked the impact a bit with his hands, but even still, that looked absolutely awful.
Team England confirmed that Langton underwent multiple precautionary medical scans that returned “very positive results”.
He is now back at the team hotel under the care of medical staff and is in ‘good spirits’.
Team England went on to secure the silver medal behind Canada, with Australia taking the bronze. Langton was absent from the podium during the medal ceremony, due to being hospitalised for landing on his head and all, but I’m sure he’s thrilled with that all the same. Glad you’re OK, Gabriel!
