Fancy dress costumer company, Morph Costumers, has come under fire recently for selling ‘Taliban Terrorist’ outfits that come with a blow-up machine gun and bomb. Imagine rocking up to a party dressed as that – reckon it would go down like a sack of shit.

The site even warns customers to wear the clothing at their own peril. The advertisement for the costume, which costs £28.49, says: 

This Taliban fancy dress costume is for those brave people who like to take a risk with their costumes!

It might not go down too well with some people, but some of your buddies might find it funny.

There is nothing funny about the Taliban, but if someone has the guts to dress up as one of these then we have to salute them.

Wear this costume at your peril.

Since being spotted for sale online, Birmingham MP Khalid Mahmood has slated the distasteful outfit:

It is totally irresponsible of the people who are selling these outfits and the people who choose to buy them.

It is appalling when so many people are dying at the hands of terrorists across the world and when British soldiers have died fighting the Taliban.

This kind of behaviour puts their own lives, and those of other people, at risk. Police may be called out to deal with these people, and it will sometimes be late at night. Officers would face the very difficult task of deciding if there is a genuine threat or not.

This could easily lead to a fatality. There’s also the huge costs to consider.

It’s sad that some people think this is some kind of joke.

It’s not a joke, it’s very serious.

Yeah, I guess he’s right. I mean, if you have a dark sense of humour (which you probably do if you’re reading this) then it’s pretty fucking funny – just check out that picture. But overall it could lead to more serious issues so Morph Costumes better get their act together and take it down ASAP.

I wonder what they’ll come up with next? Maybe a nazi outfit? Wouldn’t put it past them judging by this faux pas.
