EasyJet Flight To Gatwick Cancelled After Passenger ‘Pooed On The Toilet Floor’

What is it with people sh1tting all over planes in 2023? First we had the infamous Diarrhea Flight from Hell that forced a plane into an emergency landing, and now we’ve got this EasyJet flight that was cancelled altogether after a passenger ‘defecated on the toilet floor.’

Passengers to Gatwick in London were left stranded in Tenerife the other night, with footage showing toilet paper littered across the flight’s walkway as the pilot explained why the flight had been cancelled:

‘Rather entertaining to defecate the front toilet so we’re now staying the night here, we’re now going to get everyone off… and organise hotels then we’ll fly back tomorrow morning.’

I’m sorry but this mystery sh1tter needs to be named and shame for ruining everyone’s day/week/flight, surely? Worst still, easyJet was ‘unable to find hotel rooms in the area’, forcing customers to sort out their own last-minute accommodation for the night.

A passenger who did not wish to be named told Metro that customers were moved to a smaller plane before the cancellation and were offered £500 if they wanted to leave:

‘No one took it so then they had to remove ten people from the plane, which caused lots of arguing, and that literally took two hours. But then once they got those ten people off, the plane was heavy because we were at full capacity. So then they were randomly putting our luggage on other people’s flights to Gatwick, and that took hours again.’

In reference to the toilet situation, the passenger said:

‘The whole incident was handled really poorly, because it could have genuinely been an accident. We had loads of issues with our flight… so someone could have literally just accidentally s*** themselves.’

A spokesperson for easyJet said:

‘easyJet can confirm that flight EZY8054 from Tenerife to London Gatwick on Sunday evening was delayed overnight due to the aircraft requiring additional cleaning.

We did all possible to minimise the impact of the disruption for our customers, providing hotel accommodation and meals and the flight departed yesterday afternoon.

The safety and wellbeing of our customers and crew is easyJet’s highest priority and while this was outside of our control, we would like to apologise to customers for the inconvenience caused.’

I swear, the world still hasn’t remembered how to behave on planes since we opened back up post-pandemic. Particularly on easyJet, which has already secured the most viral airplane story of the year with the passengers who were caught bonking in the toilets. At least it was a poop-free occasion that time.
