It was pretty baffling with Drea De Matteo AKA Adriana La Cerva joined OnlyFans the other week (only about 20 years too late), but the Sopranos legend has now spoken out about her decision to join the platform and it makes all the sense in the world.

The 51-year-old told Fox News Digital:

I know some people have said some nasty things about me having joined OnlyFans. But, you know, the way we see it in this house is mommy’s a warrior, not accepting defeat.

I figured, ‘OK, so everybody’s in their underwear and being sexy on Instagram and I don’t do that, but I can do that and get paid for it.’ … I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner.

I mean, how can you argue with that? The woman’s got three kids and says she’s been struggling for work in Hollywood ever since she refused to get vaccinated during the pandemic:

Things have changed in the last three years. My kids have always been my No. 1 focus. Had I known that I could work out of my closet my whole life, I never would have [believed]. … I know that might sound crazy and might sound somewhat lazy, but I am a very big supporter of stay-at-home moms and women who really love to raise their children.

I’m 51. I didn’t know this was going to have to be a change of life all of a sudden that during a time I’m supposed to be relaxing a little bit, that I would have to switch careers and figure new things out because my own industry thinks I’m, you know, a savage.

What else can you say really? She’s 100% correct. A mum’s gotta do what a mum’s gotta do. There’s so many women out there sharing their photos online for free and it’s as though they don’t realise that all you have to do is share them on OnlyFans instead and you could make a decent chunk of change working from home. Drea De Matteo could care less what anyone thinks of her new gig, and good for her!

P.S. Is it a bit disrespectful referring to her as ‘AKA Adriana La Cerva’ in every blog we write about her? Let’s not forget she was also Joey Tribiani’s sister in the short-lived Friends spin-off ‘Joey’ and she also played Wendy in ‘Sons of Anarchy’. Though obviously she’s always be most remembered for her iconic role in the Sopranos. Never forget:
