55-year-old Anthony Walsh from Liverpool has devoted so much time to her that he pushes her around in a £1,500 pram and buys her all the treats that she desires. So far the personal trainer has spent over £18,000 on his beloved pet and he doesn’t plan on stopping there. Walsh is desperate to give rescued Princess Cleopatra Superchill (yes, that’s her name) the best life possible:
I have probably spent about £18,000 on her in the last three years. It has taken over my life.
I have had to put it all in storage boxes. I have so many things which have never even been opened.
Cleo is such a special dog, she is so unique – everything about her is perfect.
There is no doubt about it, she is my daughter. She is the perfect daughter really.
Cleo currently owns a convertible children’s toy car and is expecting to receive a GoPro camera for Christmas. Brilliant. When Walsh first brought Cleo home he realised that she was suffering from depression as she kept staring at the floor:
But I was told by a vet if I gave her lots of treats and really spoiled her I could bring her round. I managed to do it in about seven months.
As I put so much into her I realised she could do so many special tricks and she looked so fit and healthy so I thought I would dress her up in little outfits.
Now I can see in her eyes she is so happy. She is loving life.
Well isn’t that just a lovely story? I especially love how Walsh buys her genuinely useful and expensive things like a GoPro even though she obviously doesn’t have a fucking clue what they are. Still, it seems like he’s done a good job of turning her depression around and now these two are like a family. I hope they have a lovely Christmas together.
