This one is a bit late in the day, but it’s hardly really that surprising after all that business with Balthazar towards the end of last year, as director Craig Duncan has decided to reveal that James Corden was by far and away the most difficult presenter he’s ever worked with in his career.

Duncan was a one time director on a segment for Sky’s ‘A League Of Their Own’ and had to deal with Corden and other celebrities like Freddie Flintoff, Jamie Redknapp and Jack Whitehall during his shoot. Taking to his YouTube channel, Duncan decided to reveal the truth about Corden, saying the following:

The most difficult and obnoxious presenter I’ve ever worked with is James Corden.

I was asked by his production company would I be willing to direct a challenge that was gonna be part of their A League of Their Own show. It was season seven, episode three, and I’ll never forget it.

I said sure, and they said, ‘How are you at working with difficult presenters?’ I say, ‘Oh right, ok. Well, I’ve filmed the Three Tenors before, and you can’t get more of a prima donna than an opera singer’.

It came to a point where Corden had to read from a card. And it was kind of a joke in there, and he just looked at it like, ‘That’s not funny, that’s not funny. It’s s**t, we have to rewrite that’.

And I was thinking ‘man, somebody wrote that, that’s not too nice’.  I just thought he was a bit stroppy, a bit grumpy, but I thought I could probably handle that.

Anyway, that wasn’t that bad, but then things got a little testy due to the time he had available for the shoot.

We were working out how to shoot it as quickly as possible so Corden could get back on time,  when old buggerlugs pipes up, ‘What the f**k is going on here? It’s obvious what you do. It’s so obvious how you shoot it, you’re stupid. Camera there, camera there, bish bang bosh’.

And I’m like, ‘He’s absolutely right guys, let’s do that, that’s the best thing to do [the camera crew looking incredulous]. We know what we’re doing, right?

This was the way we were going to film it that we didn’t have enough time to do, so instead of doing it in five minutes, it took forty five minutes and Corden was super late back to the studio and fuming.

Serves him right. Wxnker.

You know what? I really thought he was going to come out with something way worse than that. It doesn’t really sound that bad to me if Corden thought one of the jokes sucked and it had to be rewritten, or that he was a bit annoyed that things were taking longer than they should have.

Sure it’s a bit obnoxious, but I don’t think it’s the worst behaviour I’ve ever heard of from someone on set, and it’s nothing on some of the stuff that the guy has apparently done during his career. Gonna reluctantly give this one to Corden. Sounds like he got his comeuppance anyway.

Also it sounds like Duncan has had a remarkably easy career as well in terms of not clashing with anyone if this is the worst he’s come up against. Maybe that’s why he’s a YouTuber now.

For more of the same, check out this thread of all the time Corden has been a complete bellend. Not getting off that easy mate.
