Conor McGregor Immediately Blows Out His Knee In The Most Anticlimactic UFC Fight In History

Welp, after 5 years and all that build-up and anticipation, Conor McGregor managed to blow out his knee within 5 seconds of his Octagon return and the fight was called off almost instantly.

And the moment he sustained the injury with his first offensive move of the fight…

There was also a weird clip of McGregor looking a little off-balance before he entered the Octagon, so who knows when the hell it happened truly. It’s possible he was already injured in training and thought he could power through. Unfortunately he walked to the back before Joe Rogan could get the chance to ask him about it.

Max Holloway immediately called for a rematch in his post-fight interview. I’m sure the guy is a little gutted after all the effort he put into training for this fight, but he’ll also be over the moon with the easiest payday of his life and another one incoming if the trilogy fight happens.

Dana White has since commented: “Listen, everybody who knows anything about the fight business, and it’s been a big topic leading upto this fight, five years off is rough.

“Great card, unbelievable. The Paddy Pimblett fight before, you could feel it in the air, here we go.

“I was expecting at least a one-round war, who knew what Conor was capable of in terms of cardo after a five-year lay-off.

“But there you go. We’re assuming blown ACL. I’m no doctor what I figured when I saw it and the doctors thought it too.”

That’s going to take a very long time to recover from. Will McGregor even be interested in another comeback fight? I’m sure we’ll hear from him soon.
