A chicken shop knife fight broke in Willesden Green the other night (the video caption says it happened before Christmas, but it actually took place on Wednesday this week). Scenes like this are par for the course in some parts of London these days, but it’s still very shocking to see:

Well, it turned out to be more of a fencing fight than anything else in the end, but that’s only because the lad in the shop had his wits about him and managed to clock his enemies arriving at the front door. Imagined if he hadn’t? This chicken shop knife fight would have been a chicken shop murder! Not condoning any of these prats carrying knives obviously, but without it that kid is minced meat. Then again, the stool probably did most of the work, and he is only carrying a knife because he’s involved in brainless gang activity in the first place. We should probably just be grateful this isn’t America and they weren’t all carrying 9mm guns.

Whatever the case, let’s hope all three of these boys are tracked down and made an example of (by the police, I mean). Need the strongest sentence possible for anyone caught carrying knives of that size in public, so the rest of us can visit chicken shops without the risk of being caught up in a knife fight. Would be nice.
