The Lyrics To The Champion’s League Music Are The Dumbest Thing Ever

Undeniably one of the best things about the Champion’s League is the unforgettable music – it gets you completely pumped up for whatever match you’re about to watch and really does convey just how epic the whole competition is.

Unfortunately, today I found out that the song actually has lyrics in German and isn’t just some chanting with the word champions thrown in a few times, which would have been way better, trust me. In fact, what we actually get are some lyrics that kind of sound like they were written by a five year old who is having a really, really hard time trying to describe just what the Champion’s League is all about and so is describing it in the most basic, boring language possible.

In fact I think a five year old’s vocabulary might be more developed than this. I know that some things are lost in translation (the song is originally sung in German) but it’s stupid to think that it could be that different to its original intentions, in which case despite how sick the song is someone should really have had a word with British composer Tony Britten (although the symphony was originally composed by Handel back in 1727) when he released it back in 1992 because this is a fucking joke.

If you don’t want to ruin the Champion’s League music then don’t read this below. The song is actually sung in French, English and German – the three official languages of FIFA – but these are just the English lyrics. Just wow.

‘ These are the best teams

The very best teams
The main event!

The Masters
The Best
The Great Teams
The Champions!

A large meeting
A great sports event
The main event!

They are the best
They are the best
These are the champions!

The Masters
The Best
The Great Teams
The Champions!

The Masters
The Best
The Great Teams
The Champions!’
