Don't Ask Hook Then And Now

James Madio played Don’t Ask of The Lost Boys and is one of the only child actors from the movie to have had a fairly steady career following it, still picking up roles today. He’s probably most well known for a role opposite Leonardo DiCaprio (who is definitely cooler than Dan Bilzerian by the way) in The Basketball Diaries, as Lazzarini in the Saved By The Bell rip off show USA High and in Steven Spielberg’s Band Of Brothers, although he does look slightly unhealthy and gaunt these days as you can see in the picture above. Nowhere near as bad as Macauley Culkin though of course.

He hasn’t really done anything that notable recently and has been limited to guest roles on crappy TV shows like Bones and Castle, although his voice features prominently in the Call Of Duty video game series. They must have seen him in Band Of Brothers and thought that he really nailed the role. In fairness, he was pretty awesome as Sgt Frank Perconte in that.

Other than Madio has written and directed and starred in a bunch of low budget indie movies that have garnered critical praise but nobody else has ever really heard of, like Applebox, Dough Boys and The Grasslands. Still, he’s probably the most successful out of all of them, except for someone that we’ll come to in a couple of pages.

I was hoping there would be a supercut of Lazzarini’s dumbest moments on YouTube that I could embed here, but it doesn’t exist unfortunately. I hope somebody makes it soon.
